MASCHINE+ comes with MASCHINE+ Selection, a curated bundle of instruments, effects, and sounds optimized to run in standalone mode:Īll Expansions are compatible except PRISMATIC BLISS and MASSIVE X Expansions.EASY TO USE HARDWARE FOR MUSIC PRODUCTION But you can make multi sampled copies with the auto sampler To answer your question about guitar kontakt librarys running in standalone, the answer is no, they wont work. For example I've done this to create versions of Skarbee and Gentalman, so feel like I have them in stand alone. However you can make multi sampled versions of these easily using the auto sampler. West Africa, rickenbacker bass, the gentalman, vintage organs, scarbee mark 1, hybrid keys, Ethereal earth are Kontakt libraries that work when using a computer NOT standalone. If you get into the habit of writing everything in the M+ then your projects become much more lightweight and standalone which helps when sharing them or backing them up later because you don’t have to worry about all of these extra VSTs not being installed, etc. My suggestion is to use some sort of preamp or guitar fx unit and then run that into the M+ and either record it or play it live on top of your tracks. If you really wanna use the VSTs like guitar rig or whatever then just use the software as needed and resample the guitars to audio and then load them up in the sampler or audio devices on the M+. The other advantage of using the plus is that whatever you write in it is automatically ready for live performances which is another reason why I got it. I have projects that run at like 65% cpu load and have no pops or clicks and it’s super responsive. I write glitchy lofi hip hop techno type stuff that has a lot of automation and layered bass lines so it can handle complex arrangements. ![]() ![]() I write all of my songs exclusively in standalone and it serves all of my needs. ![]() It’s not a full-blown DAW and it’s not built to be one although you can totally use it end to end if you want.įor what it’s worth I’ve used Maschine exclusively for years now and I recently got an M+ and haven’t touched the SW or my computer since. The M+ is essentially a powerful sampler and sequencer with some built-in soft synths. If you are wanting the M+ to use as a standalone recording studio to record your guitars or external instruments, then it’s kind of limited in terms of built-in instruments but if you are running the output of some external gear like an amp into the M+ for recording then it works great for that. The other posts here go into details about which instruments are available so I’m not not gonna talk about that. ![]() Understanding audio interfaces and their impact on system performance Here is a list of links you guys may find helpful.Ĭ has info important to know when using samples in your music Join this group to share your tracks created using maschine with like-minded artists from all over the globe!
